Stocks and shares
A share represents ownership in a company. Its value can change with business performance and market conditions. Some companies pay dividends, but dividends can be reduced or stopped. A compelling industry theme does not remove company-specific risk.
Discuss your priorities
Consider the balance between potential growth, income and the possibility of loss. Ask about concentration, trading costs and whether you could need the money sooner than expected. A company you know as a customer may still need careful investment research.
Initial public offerings
An IPO introduces a company's shares to public investors. Enquiries are subject to the offering, eligibility and any available allocation. No brokerage can guarantee access to IPO shares. Purchasing after exchange trading starts is different from receiving an allocation at the offering price.
Read before deciding
For a new offering, request the prospectus and review the business, use of proceeds and risk factors. Expressing interest does not reserve shares or commit you to purchase. This website does not promise pre-IPO inventory or a pipeline of exclusive allocations.
